Ventana Vintage Tombstone Rally
April 1-2, 2005
<<<The SHADY DELL Tour>>>
One of the highlights of the Tombstone Rally was the road trip down to Bisbee Arizona for a tour of the Shady Dell Park. In case you have not heard of the famous Shady Dell, it is a retro mobile home park with fully restored vintage campers that can be rented like a motel. First few shots were playing
with my camera in sepia mode, just for fun.
Except for a couple of late model cars that crept into the picture, the Shady Dell looks just like a late 50's park complete with Dot's Diner, a restored 1957 Valentine Diner
Rental choices range from tiny camp trailers to big Spartan's and an Airfloat. The also have a couple of unique units, a large boat dry docked, and a Flxible Bus Conversion with a Tiki Bar.
This crowd was the actual guests of the park the day we were there. The group had rented most of the park, and were celebrating a birthday "Trailer Trash" style, and having a great time doing it.
Many Thanks to the staff of the Shady Dell, Dot's Diner and to Tom for arranging this great tour.
